I don't remember that well No he put his serious face on and assumed a stance preparing for Sansho's attack. Then Piccolo destroyed the ground between them. (Just watched yesterday)

Nikki and Ginger nearly killed Goku once they busted their swords out. Goku was weighted. And Tien gave Goku a harder fight in the 23rd Tournament(he needed to take off his weights). And Krillin forced Piccolo (most likely unweighted) to show some of his real power. And Yamcha impressed God with his Spirit Ball so he's no slouch either. Heck Krillin was dead set to take those guys and was only scared when Piccolo popped up. Goku and Piccolo became stronger after 23nd Budokai though. So did Krillin and the others. And what kind of evidence do you have for them ? A)Do you have any evidence saying that they didn't? That they were sitting on their a$$es for 4 years until Raditz came? B) Why shouldn't they? Everyone's goal was to catch up to Goku, They all said it at one point in the manga. Do you really think that they would just give up for 4 years? C)Also not training for years makes you rusty, evident from Gohan's predicament, so in reality if they didn't train during the timeskip that would mean that they were WAY stronger four years ago which wouldn't fly for anyone especially TIen. You're right.
